– very silly but kind of delightfully so, with some genuine comedy and a heartwarming (slash cheesy) script. It definitely doesn’t deserve the level of acclaim it’s received, but equally, it is refreshing to see a semi-decent original sci-fi movie get this level of support. Hopefully it signals to studios that we want more and it’s worth taking the risk on non-franchise standalone stories every now and then.
