– it looks fantastic and the soundtrack is a delight, but this is a cliché post-apocalyptic thriller with all the usual story beats and bizarre tropes of the genre including the especially silly marauding tribes and cannibals. Even the premise doesn’t really stand up as Hig joyrides his aeroplane, casually tops up fuel from a local gas station, retrieves copious medicines from a personal hoard, and visits a supermarket for some cokes and sprite.
