– tonally similar to Breaking Bad in that it straddles the line between comedic and gritty, this buddy anti-cop crime thriller is far more gripping and competently composed than its plot really deserves. The performances are stellar, especially from lead Brian Tyree Henry, and the soundtrack helps polish an already slick production effort. It’s a shame the biker gang villains and their omnipotent Final Boss tasked with keeping the threat meter in the red are so cartoonish.
