– Murder, drug overdose, coma, rape, baby abduction, self-amputation, anaphylaxis, adultery, cancer, suicide, infanticide – just some of the lovely things this overwrought, try hard French crime thriller shoehorns into its first two episodes. The music screeches and strains with the same desperate effort to impress. It’s another scandinoire wannabe that thinks more is more. After all that, I was too exhausted from all the eye-rolling to bother with episode three onwards.
