– an imperfect but far better than average crime drama, with a strong showing from Jude Law. The pacing is off (slow), and direction inconsistent, elevating some low key scenes but underplaying others. The story and core characters are engaging though (even if the bit parts feel more like extras), and ultimately, it’s simply refreshing to watch a serious, considered crime drama that doesn’t feel like it was made by algorithm or tailored to fit one.
